Consultation and Fees
At Gross & Miller Attorneys at Law, we acknowledge that approaching a family law attorney, especially in the face of divorce or family-related matters, can be a daunting step for many. These situations are often emotionally challenging and uncertain for everyone involved.
Our firm comprehends the intricacies you might encounter, and we’re here to guide you through the family law process. Our attorneys offer insight, skills, and invaluable expertise to help you achieve timely resolutions.
We do provide an initial free ten-minute telephone consultation with one of our attorneys. However, for a comprehensive understanding of your specific needs and to address any inquiries you may have, scheduling an in-person consultation at our office is necessary. Our firm charges a flat rate of $200.00 for a one-hour initial consultation, ensuring the utmost confidentiality. During this consultation, our attorneys will answer your questions and offer valuable insights pertaining to your case. We believe in providing our clients with a clear roadmap through the legal processes surrounding divorce and family law matters.

Once we’ve had an initial consultation, we can discuss the fees associated with our legal representation in an informed manner. The retainer quoted by the attorney depends on the complexity, novelty, and difficulty of the issues, the attorney’s experience and reputation, and the time involved. A written contract and retainer payment are required before we provide legal representation. We may also seek reimbursement of attorney’s fees from the opposing party when authorized by case law and/or statute.
For uncontested matters, such as uncontested divorces where both parties have reached an agreement before legal action, we charge a flat rate, in addition to filing fees and necessary expenses.
For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards for payment.
